Anniversaries all Around!

I was very happy to blog with this site for two important reasons.

The first is, it's my writing anniversary too. It's been almost one year exactly that I've been writing professionally. I was laid off from my job in June of last year. I decided that if I was going to do anything with my writing, now was the time to do it. I had been with RWA and my local chapter, Kentucky Romance Writers, for about a year but I hadn't worked up the courage to submit any manuscripts to publishers yet. Heck, at that time I didn't even know HOW to submit.

Through trial and error, and critiques on my query by chapter mates, I learned. I submitted to three companies to begin with, because I liked the look of their website and the quality of the books they were putting out. I had a contract offer within 2 days from Decadent Publishing, which had been by initial choice anyway. I was stunned. All the agonizing and fretting gone. I was over the moon and crying. Hubby thought somebody had died when I told him what happened.

My first book, Second Time Around, was published in December of last year.

I submitted a second manuscript to Bonaparte Press in March, and it was accepted. Urban Moon, an urban fantasy anthology, was release in June.

The second reason I'm happy is that my third book, Wet Dream, just released two days ago. I can't tell you how very excited I am to release this to the public. As a writer, I've developed exponentially in the last year. Editorially, I've learned so much. It's part of the 1NS series at Decadent Publishing.

Here's the blurb for Wet Dream.

Ex-FBI agent Ginger Hampton is not surprised when her date is a no-show. Madame Evangeline, owner of 1NightStand promised her a perfect night...but Ginger is used to disappointment in love. The fact that she's six feet tall, model perfect and owns her own high-end security firm tends to intimidate men. But, in spite of her self, she had high hopes for this date.

Madame Eve's email had told him to watch for a woman in distress, and the woman at the bar is exactly that. Chief of Security Cameron Jones doesn't see himself as a hero, but he's willing to check on a special guest for his boss. He doesn't realize until he sees her face that it's Ginger Hampton, his own personal weak spot. She's not turned off by his brutal scarring, and even flirts as if she's interested. When he escorts her to her room, does he have the courage to respond to her interest and stay the night? How can he say no to...

his own personal wet dream?

If you told me a year ago I would have three books out in one year, I would have laughed in your face. But I do. And that little dream tucked in the corner of my heart to write is coming true. Thank you readers for helping me out along the way.

Since this is an anniversary blog, tell me about one of your special days. One commenter will receive a copy of the book Wet Dream and a $5.00 credit for amazon, to pick out another special read.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

My guy and I just had our one year anniversary of getting back together... We went back to the place we had visited together last summer and celebrated - it was wonderful!

I forgot to mention my special day. Probably my favorite day was my wedding. It was outside and my grandma (now 92yrs old, on oxygen 24/7 and uses a wheelchair unless it is short distances then she uses a walker) gave me away. I got married outside and it was a gorgeous day. My grandma and I had to walk up the stairs to the altar and I was so nervous I practically dragged her up the stairs! LOL! We still laugh about it, 16 years later.
