What’s your favorite romantic movie?

I’m a true romantic at heart. I guess that’s why I love writing romance novels. I’m a big fan of romantic comedies and dramas, anything with a happy ending. What’s your favorite romantic movie?

Without a doubt, I have several that are my favorites, but the top ten are The Cutting Edge, The Notebook, Knight and Day, Pretty Woman, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Wedding Planner, While You Were Sleeping, Emma, Sense & Sensibility, and P.S., I Love You.

One of these days, I’d love to have my book made into a movie. Wishful thinking, maybe, but in the meantime, if you’d like to check it out, you can find it here: Mr. Shipley’s Governess. Find it online

My favorites are:

The Cutting Edge
Sleepless in Seattle
French Kiss

There are more that I watch whenever they come on but I can't remember the titles off hand.

There certainly are a lot of good romantic movies. Some of my favorites are Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail and The Time Traveler's Wife (loosely fits this category).

Sadly, though I love romance novels, I can hardly stand romantic movies. There is just something about them that annoys me so I try to avoid them. But, I do enjoy some of the Jane Austen adaptations, especially Emma and Sense and Sensibility, though the A&E and BBC presentation of Pride and Prejudice will always be my favorite.

My favorite is My Beautiful Laundrette, probably followed by Love Story. Most of my favorite movies contain a love story, like Le Pact De Loupe, but aren't love stories per se-- even Chocolat, which I adore, is more about other issues for me. I'm more of an action film chick.

And, I could say Pride & Predjudice, but I saw it as a TV series, and that's how I think of it still. Oh, I did forget-- Bridget Jones Diary!
Loved the first one.

One of my favorites is Paperback Hero. It was my first introduction to Hugh Jackman. I think I'm the only person in the States that's seen it. He played a trucker that wrote romance novels under his best friends name. Just found it on YouTube so I can watch it again!

The Way We Were is a favorite. It feels dated to watch it now, but the evocative emotions still hold true for me.

Pretty Woman and Sixteen Candles, hands down.

just saw Knight & Day the other night & liked it a lot more than I thought I would - the previews hadn't done it justice. Two movies I'll watch all or parts of whenever I see them on:

Pride & Prejudice (any version)
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (the one with Kevin Costner)
