Many people associate roses with seduction ~ after all ~ red wine, candlelight & roses make a lovely statement.
Here is a scene from my novel Tempered Joy when the hero, Stanley Morrison executes perfect timing in giving his wife, Amber a rose......
Stanley stood for a full moment and drank in the sight of her, her skin flushed from the heat of the water. Soft tendrils of black silk curls escaped the clip to frame her face. Desire poured through him with the force of an erupting volcano. She didn’t open her eyes, but he could tell by the soft smile on her lips that she knew he was there. He knelt by the tub and caressed her face with the flower.
Amber smelled the sweet floral scent of the rose before it touched her face, before the soft petals caressed her cheek and lips.
